Long Term Care expenses are not typically covered by health insurance or Medicare. These expenses are considered “Custodial Care” needed by an individual who has a severe cognitive impairment or loss of functional capacity to perform activities of daily living. Kehilla Care is a long term care benefits program (LTCBP) sponsored by Lifeline Alliance, a Healthcare Sharing Ministry (HCSM) that is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Our members affirm ethical tenets and healthy “clean living” lifestyles of the Jewish faith. In traditional terms, an organization that shares funds, goods, or services is called a GEMACH. This is a charitable entity whose name is derived from the Hebrew word meaning “acts of loving kindness.” Our GEMACH, Kehilla Care, offers a novel sharing long term care solution and LTCBP.
Kehilla Care provides shared funds to pay for long term expenses of our members. Our members hopes and aspirations for a long, independent living, mindful and healthy life are shared by Kehilla Care. We share incentives to prevent disease and remain healthy and Kehilla Care offers an Alzheimer’s Disease prevention plan to achieve this goal.
Our sharing members may participate in the Kehilla Care Rewards Program to redistribute shared contributions back to the members. We would prefer to return “unused” funds rather than spend these contributions on long term care. With this rewards program, Kehilla Care can share financial wellbeing with our members.
